It has been a pleasure to contribute to this 1980's home transformation.
Here is a "before" photo showing the living and dining
area prior to the make over.
Following a consultation with the clients at their former residence where I was able to see the furniture that would be brought to their new home and get a better idea on their tastes and interests, I was able to put together a new scheme for this tired space.
New carpet was selected in a warm grey to tone with the mortar in the brickwork, and a soft cream paint was selected. Both these new finishes were chosen to play down the pink tones in the bricks and still complement the clients leather and timber furniture.

With a familial interest in South Africa, it was easy to integrate the clients collection of curios into this contemporary interior, and draw inspiration for the rooms makeover.
Drawing mustard and purple into the new colour scheme is a beautiful Ikat rug from The Rug Collection.
These colours were extended through accessories and continued into the kitchen.

A new kitchen was installed with bright white cabinetry, white subway tiles and Caesarstone benchtop to reflect the sunny aspect. The new kitchen also needed the beautiful finishes to withstand copious use by a keen cook.
